Can Scale AI replace a physical scale or measuring tool?
No. It produces photo-based estimates. Use a calibrated scale, measuring tool, direct count, or qualified professional whenever accuracy or safety matters.
What helps a photo estimate?
Use a clear, well-lit photo, keep the full object visible, avoid perspective distortion, and include a familiar reference object when the selected mode supports it. A better photo can help, but it does not make the result a calibrated measurement.
Can I use a result for medicine, trade, or another safety-critical decision?
No. Scale AI must not be used for medication, regulated trade, legal, financial, medical, professional, or safety-critical decisions.
What happens to my photos and history?
Scan history and settings stay on the device. A selected photo is sent for AI analysis only when you choose an image and start a scan; review the current privacy policy for details.
