Terms of Service

These terms explain the rules for using Soti, including local meal planning, recipe and grocery estimates, local reminders, Soti Plus subscriptions, and support.

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service govern your use of Soti, including the Soti iOS app, onboarding flow, meal plans, recipes, favourites, shopping lists, local notifications, Soti Plus subscriptions, support pages, and the public Soti showcase pages.

By downloading, accessing, subscribing to, or using Soti, you agree to these Terms and to the Soti Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Soti.

2. Apple App Store Terms

Soti is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apps obtained through the App Store are licensed, not sold. Your license to Soti is also subject to Apple's applicable App Store terms and Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement unless a separate custom EULA applies.

Apple is not responsible for providing maintenance or support for Soti. Support requests should be sent to salamsalamoner@gmail.com. To the extent required by Apple terms, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce the Apple-related provisions.

3. What Soti Does

Soti helps you create a weekly dinner plan for personal household use. Depending on the app version, Soti can:

  • Collect onboarding preferences such as country, supermarket, budget, household size, goals, meal vibes, dietary needs, and appliances.
  • Generate a weekly dinner plan from bundled recipes and local planner logic.
  • Estimate grocery budget and recipe costs using bundled recipe data, shop multipliers, and local currency tables.
  • Create a grouped shopping list and remember checked shopping items locally.
  • Save favourite recipes and allow dinner swaps.
  • Schedule optional local reminders when you allow notifications.
  • Offer optional Soti Plus subscriptions.

4. Food, Nutrition, Allergy, Budget, and Price Disclaimer

Soti is a meal-planning and shopping organization tool. Soti is not medical, nutrition, allergy, diet, food safety, financial, legal, or other professional advice.

  • Recipes, calories, protein, dietary labels, allergens, portions, cooking times, storage information, and food safety notes may be incomplete or wrong.
  • Budget estimates are approximate and may not match prices in your shop, region, delivery service, currency, season, promotion, or checkout basket.
  • Shop choices affect local estimate multipliers only. Soti does not claim a live integration with the selected supermarket.
  • Currency conversion uses bundled local estimates, not live foreign exchange rates.
  • You are responsible for checking labels, ingredients, allergens, freshness, safe handling, cooking temperatures, prices, availability, and dietary suitability before buying or cooking.
  • If you have allergies, medical conditions, pregnancy-related concerns, dietary restrictions, or food safety concerns, consult a qualified professional and verify all ingredients yourself.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Soti to:

  • Violate any law, regulation, platform rule, or third-party right.
  • Misrepresent Soti's estimates as live supermarket prices, guaranteed nutrition advice, or professional guidance.
  • Use Soti in a clinical, medical, emergency, institutional food safety, or regulated nutrition setting.
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, overload, disrupt, or misuse the app, website, purchase system, or providers.
  • Bypass subscription checks, purchase restore logic, paywalls, or access controls.

6. Local Storage and Backups

Soti stores your meal-planning data locally on your device. You are responsible for maintaining your device, backups, and access to your data. Soti does not provide a cloud account for recovering deleted plans, favourites, preferences, shopping list state, or onboarding answers.

Resetting local app data, deleting Soti, device failure, operating system behavior, storage cleanup, or interrupted storage operations may permanently remove local Soti data.

7. Soti Plus Subscriptions

Soti may offer auto-renewable Soti Plus subscriptions through Apple in-app purchase. The exact product name, duration, price, trial or offer terms, and renewal details are shown in the App Store purchase sheet before you confirm a purchase.

  • Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period, subject to Apple's rules.
  • Your Apple Account may be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account subscription settings.
  • Deleting Soti does not automatically cancel a subscription.
  • Refunds, billing issues, family sharing, taxes, and payment methods are handled by Apple according to Apple's policies.
  • Soti uses RevenueCat to validate purchases, restore purchases, and determine whether Soti Plus is active.

8. Trials, Promotions, and Price Changes

If Soti offers a free trial, introductory offer, promotional offer, or win-back offer, the App Store purchase sheet will show the applicable duration, eligibility, price, renewal terms, and billing details before purchase. Offers may be changed, discontinued, or made available only to eligible users as allowed by Apple.

If subscription prices change, Apple may notify you and may require your consent depending on Apple's rules. If you do not agree to a required price increase, your subscription may expire at the end of the current billing period.

9. Third-Party Services

Soti depends on third-party services, including Apple, RevenueCat, and Vercel for website hosting. Their own terms and privacy policies may apply.

10. Privacy

Soti's privacy practices are described in the Soti Privacy Policy. By using Soti, you acknowledge that app data may be stored locally and that Apple and RevenueCat process subscription information as described in the Privacy Policy.

11. App and Website Changes

Soti features, recipes, bundled estimates, price multipliers, currencies, legal pages, subscriptions, pricing, and availability may change over time. We may update, suspend, or discontinue any part of Soti for maintenance, security, legal, provider, platform, or product reasons.

12. No Warranty

Soti is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that every recipe, plan, estimate, shopping list item, reminder, purchase state, or website page will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for your circumstances.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Soti, Soldra, and the developer are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, opportunities, food, groceries, or subscription value arising from use of the app or website.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these limits may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.

14. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated when the app, website, purchases, legal requirements, or business practices change. The effective date above shows when this version took effect.
