Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service govern your use of Motivation, including the iOS app, quote feed, favorites, profile settings, share features, WidgetKit extension, premium access, and support pages.

By downloading, accessing, purchasing, subscribing to, or using Motivation, you agree to these Terms and to the Motivation Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Motivation.

2. Apple App Store Terms

Motivation is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apps obtained through the App Store are licensed, not sold. Your license to Motivation is also subject to Apple's applicable App Store terms and Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement unless a separate custom EULA applies.

Apple is not responsible for providing maintenance or support for Motivation. Support requests should be sent to support@motivationinc.app. To the extent required by Apple terms, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce the Apple-related provisions.

3. What Motivation Does

Motivation helps you browse short motivational quotes, like or save quotes, organize favorites, personalize quote categories, share quotes, and configure iOS Home Screen widgets.

• The quote collection is built into the app and can work offline.
• Favorites and settings are stored locally on your device.
• Widgets may use favorite quotes, selected categories, style preferences, and text size preferences.
• Premium access may unlock or support additional app features depending on the version of the app.

4. Wellness and Professional Advice Notice

Motivation provides general motivational content. It is not medical, mental health, therapy, crisis support, fitness, financial, legal, career, or other professional advice. Quotes may be encouraging, but they are not a substitute for qualified professional support.

If you are in danger, experiencing a medical or mental health emergency, or need urgent help, contact local emergency services or a qualified professional.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Motivation to:

• Violate any law or third-party right.
• Copy, redistribute, resell, or commercially exploit substantial parts of the app or quote collection without permission.
• Reverse engineer, attack, overload, or misuse the app, purchase system, or related services.
• Misrepresent Motivation content as professional advice or emergency support.

6. Premium Access, Subscriptions, and Lifetime Purchases

Motivation may offer premium access through Apple in-app purchase, including monthly, yearly, or lifetime options. Prices, trial availability, subscription periods, renewal terms, and included features are shown in the app and in the App Store purchase sheet before purchase.

• Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, subject to Apple's rules.
• Your Apple Account may be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account subscription settings.
• Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• Lifetime access means access to the eligible premium features of Motivation for the lifetime of the app as offered, not to unrelated future apps or services.
• Refund requests are handled by Apple according to Apple's policies.

7. Widgets and Offline Content

Motivation widgets are managed by iOS WidgetKit. Widget refresh timing, background update frequency, and display behavior may vary based on system conditions, device settings, battery state, and iOS behavior. Motivation cannot guarantee that a widget will refresh at an exact time.

8. Privacy

Motivation's privacy practices are described in the Privacy Policy. By using the app, you acknowledge that app settings, favorites, and widget preferences may be stored locally and shared with the widget extension through the app's Apple App Group.

9. No Warranty

Motivation is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that every quote, widget refresh, share destination, setting, purchase state, or app behavior will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for your specific situation.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Motivation and its developer are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or opportunities arising from use of the app.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these limits may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.

11. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated when the app, purchases, legal requirements, or business practices change. The effective date above shows when this version took effect.
