These terms explain the rules for using Stamp Identifier, including photo-based AI identifications, local history, Pro purchases, appraisal limits, and support.
Plain-English summary
- Stamp Identifier provides AI-generated research guidance, not certified authentication or professional appraisal.

- Do not use Stamp Identifier as the sole basis for insurance, legal, tax, sale, purchase, auction, or high-value collection decisions.
- Pro purchases are handled through Apple and RevenueCat, and deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Mandatory consumer rights continue to apply where local law requires them.
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service govern your use of Stamp Identifier, including the iOS app, AI identification features, scan history, Pro purchases, support pages, and related services.
By downloading, accessing, purchasing, subscribing to, or using Stamp Identifier, you agree to these Terms and to the Stamp Identifier Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Stamp Identifier.
2. App Store Terms
Stamp Identifier may be distributed through the Apple App Store. Apps obtained through the App Store are licensed, not sold, and your use may also be subject to Apple's applicable store terms, platform terms, billing terms, and licensed application terms.
Apple is not responsible for providing maintenance or support for Stamp Identifier unless Apple's own terms require otherwise. Support requests should be sent to salamsalamoner@gmail.com. To the extent required by App Store terms, Apple and its subsidiaries may be third-party beneficiaries of the relevant store-related provisions.
If the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may be able to notify Apple for App Store purchase remedies required by Apple's terms. Apple has no other warranty obligation for Stamp Identifier except where applicable law or Apple's terms require it.
3. What Stamp Identifier Does
Stamp Identifier is a photo-based stamp research app. Depending on the version, Stamp Identifier can help:
- Identify likely postage stamps from a front photo and optional back photo.
- Estimate country, year, series, denomination, condition, rarity, themes, and historical context.
- Provide an estimated value range in your selected currency.
- Show confidence, notes, and fields that may be uncertain or unavailable.
- Save scan photos and generated identification data locally on your device.
- Offer free daily identifications and optional Pro purchase features, depending on app version and store configuration.
4. Eligibility
Stamp Identifier AI features are intended for users who are at least 18 years old and old enough in their region to understand that photos are being sent for automated analysis. If you use Stamp Identifier on behalf of another person or organization, you confirm that you have authority to do so.
5. Your Content
"Your Content" means content you provide to Stamp Identifier, including camera captures, photo library images, front and back stamp images, currency choices, onboarding answers, backend URL settings, support messages, and related information you choose to submit.
You keep ownership of Your Content. You give Stamp Identifier a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to process, transmit, transform, display, and store Your Content only as needed to provide, maintain, protect, and support Stamp Identifier and the features you choose to use. This includes sending relevant content to Cloudflare, Google Gemini, RevenueCat, Apple, and other providers described in the Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for Your Content. Do not submit content unless you have the rights and permissions needed to use it with Stamp Identifier and its service providers.
6. AI Identifications and Generated Output
Stamp Identifier uses Google Gemini API through the Stamp Identifier backend to analyze selected images and generate structured results. AI output can include stamp identity, country, year, condition, rarity, value estimates, physical details, historical context, possible catalog number hints, themes, confidence, and notes.
AI output is generated automatically and can be inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, outdated, unsafe, or unsuitable for your circumstances. Stamp details may vary by catalog system, issue, watermark, perforation, printing variety, cancellation, centering, gum condition, faults, repairs, market venue, and expert opinion. You must independently review all results, confidence scores, assumptions, details, and warnings before relying on them.
Stamp Identifier does not guarantee that generated output is unique. Similar or identical output may be generated for other users or other scans.
7. Professional Appraisal and Critical-Use Disclaimer
Stamp Identifier is not a certified authentication service, professional appraisal service, marketplace, auction house, insurance valuation service, tax service, legal service, conservation service, or substitute for a qualified philatelic expert.
Do not use Stamp Identifier as the sole basis for:
- Buying, selling, auctioning, insuring, donating, inheriting, or valuing high-value stamps or collections.
- Tax, legal, customs, inheritance, estate, accounting, or insurance decisions.
- Authenticating rare stamps, detecting forgeries, certifying condition, or assigning official catalog numbers.
- Preservation, restoration, conservation, or handling decisions that could damage a stamp or collection.
- Any situation where an inaccurate identification, value, condition grade, or rarity estimate could cause harm, loss, or legal consequences.
For important decisions, consult qualified philatelic experts, professional appraisers, catalog references, expert committees, auction houses, insurers, tax professionals, or other appropriate verification sources.
8. Scan Quality and User Responsibility
Stamp Identifier results depend on image quality, lighting, perspective, focus, cropping, visible perforations, watermarks, cancellation, gum, paper, color, printing method, visible damage, and whether both sides are available. You are responsible for checking whether the image is appropriate.
- Use a clear, well-lit image with the full stamp visible when possible.
- Add the back image when it may reveal watermark, gum, paper, or printing clues.
- Do not treat confidence as a guarantee of correctness.
- Do not rely on value estimates without checking current market data and expert opinion.
- Do not assume catalog numbers are correct unless independently verified.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Stamp Identifier to:
- Violate any law, regulation, platform rule, export restriction, or third-party right.
- Upload images or content you do not have the right to use.
- Submit highly sensitive personal, medical, financial, government ID, password, API key, confidential, or safety-critical information.
- Bypass safety guidance, rate limits, free-scan limits, purchase checks, access controls, app tokens, or provider restrictions.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, attack, overload, disrupt, or misuse Stamp Identifier, its backend, or its providers.
- Use generated output to mislead others about authentication, condition, rarity, market value, legal status, or professional verification.
- Use Stamp Identifier in any regulated, legal, official appraisal, insurance, tax, or professional certification setting without independent expert review.
10. Local Storage and Backups
Stamp Identifier stores scan photos, generated identification data, currency, onboarding answers, settings, and history locally on your device. You are responsible for maintaining your device, backups, and access to your data. Stamp Identifier does not provide a cloud account for recovering deleted scan history, photos, settings, or counters.
Deleting history, deleting the app, device failure, operating system behavior, or interrupted storage operations may permanently remove local Stamp Identifier data.
11. Pro Access, Subscriptions, and Free Scan Limits
Stamp Identifier may offer Pro access through Apple App Store in-app
purchase. Pro access is currently associated with the RevenueCat
entitlement ID stampid Pro and may use package
identifiers such as monthly, yearly,
$rc_monthly, and $rc_annual, depending on
app version and store configuration.
Exact product names, prices, subscription periods, trial or offer terms, renewal terms, included features, taxes, and platform-specific conditions are shown in the App Store purchase sheet before you confirm a purchase.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled according to Apple's rules before the end of the current period.
- Your Apple Account may be charged for renewal before the end of the current period according to Apple rules.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account subscription settings.
- Deleting Stamp Identifier does not automatically cancel a subscription.
- Refunds, billing issues, family sharing, taxes, payment methods, and store disputes are handled by Apple according to Apple's policies.
- RevenueCat is used to validate purchases, restore purchases, and determine whether Pro access is active.
Stamp Identifier may provide a limited number of free identifications per day. The current default backend limit is 20 scans per day unless changed by backend configuration. Pro features, free scan limits, fair-use limits, backend abuse limits, model access, and included features may change over time.
12. Backend URL and Self-Hosting
Stamp Identifier includes an advanced setting for changing the backend URL. Only change this if you understand the risks or are self-hosting a compatible backend. If you use a custom backend, that backend may have different privacy, security, reliability, logging, and AI provider practices. Stamp Identifier is not responsible for custom backends you configure.
13. Third-Party Services and Availability
Stamp Identifier depends on third-party services, including Apple, Cloudflare, Google Gemini, and RevenueCat. AI features, purchase features, restore purchases, free scan limits, model configuration, analysis quality, response times, and Pro features may be delayed, unavailable, rate-limited, changed, or discontinued.
14. Privacy
Stamp Identifier privacy practices are described in the Privacy Policy. By using AI identification features, you acknowledge that selected images and scan request information are sent to Stamp Identifier backend services and Google Gemini for automated analysis.
15. Intellectual Property
Stamp Identifier, including its app design, software, branding, prompts, workflows, and public pages, is owned by Soldra or its developer and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not give you ownership of Stamp Identifier.
Subject to these Terms and applicable App Store terms, you receive a limited, revocable, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use Stamp Identifier for personal, non-commercial use.
16. No Warranty
Stamp Identifier is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that every scan, identification, value estimate, condition grade, catalog hint, confidence score, purchase state, local storage operation, or app behavior will be accurate, uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or suitable for your specific situation.
17. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stamp Identifier and its developer are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, opportunities, property, collections, stamp value, or market value arising from use of or inability to use the app.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these limits may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.
18. Changes to Stamp Identifier or These Terms
Stamp Identifier features, scan limits, providers, models, subscriptions, prices, backend configuration, and legal terms may change over time. These Terms may be updated when the app, purchases, legal requirements, or business practices change. The effective date above shows when this version took effect.
