1. Agreement
These Terms of Service govern your use of Cookit, including the Cookit iOS app, Cookit share extension, Cookit AI features, Cookit Pro subscriptions, support pages, and related services.
By downloading, accessing, subscribing to, or using Cookit, you agree to these Terms and to the Cookit Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Cookit.
2. Apple App Store Terms
Cookit is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apps obtained through the App Store are licensed, not sold. Your license to Cookit is also subject to Apple's applicable App Store terms and Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement unless a separate custom EULA applies.
Apple is not responsible for providing maintenance or support for Cookit. Support requests should be sent to support@soldra.lt. To the extent required by Apple terms, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce the Apple-related provisions.
3. What Cookit Does
Cookit helps you save, generate, organize, and use recipes. Cookit can:
- Generate recipe cards from typed ideas, pasted recipe text, captions, and public links.
- Generate recipe cards from selected photos, screenshots, and selected video frames.
- Scan food product photos and estimate a similar homemade recipe.
- Help answer cooking questions about a saved recipe through AI Chef.
- Store saved recipes, notes, tags, local recipe images, and shopping list items locally on your device.
- Use your preferences to personalize generated recipes.
- Offer Cookit Pro subscriptions for additional or continued AI use.
4. Eligibility
Cookit AI features are intended for users who are at least 18 years old. Do not use Cookit AI features if you are under 18. If you use Cookit on behalf of another person or organization, you confirm that you have authority to do so.
5. Your Content
"Your Content" means content you provide to Cookit, such as recipe links, pasted text, captions, notes, shopping list items, photos, screenshots, video frames, product photos, preferences, allergy text, cooking questions, and support messages.
You keep ownership of Your Content. You give Cookit a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to process, transmit, transform, display, and store Your Content only as needed to provide, maintain, protect, and support Cookit and the features you choose to use. This includes sending relevant content to Cloudflare, Google Gemini, RevenueCat, Apple, and linked websites as described in the Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for Your Content. Do not upload or submit content unless you have the rights and permissions needed to use it with Cookit and its service providers.
6. AI Features
Cookit uses Google Gemini API through the Cookit backend to generate
recipes, analyze selected media, estimate product-inspired homemade
recipes, and answer AI Chef questions. The current model configured
for these features is gemini-2.5-flash-lite.
AI output is generated automatically and can be inaccurate, incomplete, repetitive, unsafe, offensive, or unsuitable for your circumstances. You must review all generated recipes, ingredient lists, cooking steps, food safety notes, storage tips, substitutions, nutrition estimates, allergen references, and AI Chef answers before relying on them.
Cookit does not guarantee that generated content is unique. Similar or identical output may be generated for other users.
7. Food, Nutrition, Allergy, and Safety Disclaimer
Cookit is a recipe and cooking organization tool. Cookit is not a medical, nutrition, allergy, diet, food safety, legal, or other professional advice service.
- Nutrition values are estimates only.
- Allergen information may be incomplete or wrong.
- Product scans create estimated homemade versions only, not exact original factory recipes.
- Generated storage tips and cooking temperatures may not fit every ingredient, appliance, region, or health situation.
- You are responsible for checking labels, ingredients, allergens, freshness, safe handling, cooking temperature, and dietary suitability.
- If you have allergies, medical conditions, dietary restrictions, pregnancy-related concerns, or food safety concerns, consult a qualified professional and verify all ingredients yourself.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Cookit to:
- Violate any law or third-party right.
- Upload content you do not have the right to use.
- Submit highly sensitive personal, medical, financial, government ID, password, API key, or confidential information.
- Generate or request non-food content through Cookit's food-only AI features.
- Bypass safety filters, rate limits, free-use limits, subscription checks, or access controls.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, attack, overload, disrupt, or misuse Cookit, its backend, or its providers.
- Use generated content to mislead others about product origin, nutrition, medical suitability, or allergen safety.
- Use Cookit in any clinical, medical, emergency, or regulated food safety setting.
9. Local Storage and Backups
Cookit stores saved app content locally on your device. You are responsible for maintaining your device, backups, and access to your data. Cookit does not provide a cloud account for recovering deleted recipes, notes, images, shopping list items, or preferences.
Deleting the app, deleting local data, device failure, operating system behavior, or interrupted storage operations may permanently remove local Cookit data.
10. Cookit Pro Subscriptions
Cookit may offer auto-renewable Cookit Pro subscriptions. Cookit Pro
is currently associated with the entitlement ID
cookit_pro and configured product identifiers
monthly and yearly. The exact product
name, duration, price, trial or offer terms, and renewal details are
shown in the App Store purchase sheet before you confirm a purchase.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period.
- Your Apple Account may be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account subscription settings.
- Deleting Cookit does not automatically cancel a subscription.
- Refunds, billing issues, family sharing, taxes, and payment methods are handled by Apple according to Apple's policies.
- Cookit uses RevenueCat to validate purchases, restore purchases, and determine whether Cookit Pro is active.
Free AI usage may be limited. Cookit may count completed free AI uses locally and on the backend using your anonymous RevenueCat app user ID. Cookit Pro may remove or raise free AI use limits, depending on the active subscription offering shown in the app.
11. Trial Offers, Promotions, and Price Changes
If Cookit offers a free trial, introductory offer, promotional offer, or win-back offer, the App Store purchase sheet will show the applicable duration, eligibility, price, renewal terms, and billing details before purchase. Offers may be changed, discontinued, or made available only to eligible users as allowed by Apple.
If subscription prices change, Apple may notify you and may require your consent depending on Apple's rules and the size or frequency of the change. If you do not agree to a required price increase, your subscription may expire at the end of the current billing period.
12. Purchase Restore and Access
Cookit includes purchase restore functionality through RevenueCat and Apple. Access to Cookit Pro depends on active entitlement information returned by Apple and RevenueCat. Temporary service outages, App Store delays, billing retry status, sandbox/test-store behavior, or network issues may delay entitlement updates.
13. Third-Party Services
Cookit depends on third-party services, including Apple, RevenueCat, Cloudflare, Google Gemini API, and linked recipe websites. Your use of Cookit may involve those services, and their own terms and privacy policies may apply.
14. Privacy
The Cookit Privacy Policy explains what information Cookit processes, where it travels, and how deletion works. By using Cookit, you agree that Cookit may process information as described in the Privacy Policy.

15. App Changes and Availability
Cookit features, limits, models, providers, pricing, subscriptions, and availability may change over time. We may update, suspend, or discontinue any part of Cookit for maintenance, security, legal, provider, abuse-prevention, or product reasons.
Cookit depends on Apple, RevenueCat, Cloudflare, Google Gemini, and linked websites. Cookit may be unavailable or degraded if those services are unavailable, changed, rate limited, restricted, or discontinued.
16. Intellectual Property
Cookit, including its app design, code, branding, interface, and original app materials, is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from Cookit except as allowed by applicable law or open-source licenses that may apply to included components.
Cookit does not claim ownership of Your Content. Generated content may be used by you for personal cooking and organization purposes, subject to these Terms and applicable law.
17. Feedback
If you send ideas, suggestions, bug reports, or feedback, you allow Cookit to use them without restriction or compensation to improve the app, support users, and develop related features.
18. Disclaimers
Cookit is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cookit makes no warranties that the app or its outputs will be accurate, complete, safe, available, uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or suitable for your needs.
Cookit does not warrant that AI-generated recipes, instructions, cooking times, nutrition estimates, allergen references, product scans, substitutions, or storage tips are correct. You are responsible for verifying all generated output before using it.
19. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cookit and its developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, loss of profits, subscription interruptions, provider outages, inaccurate AI output, food preparation mistakes, allergy issues, or reliance on generated content.
Some regions do not allow certain limitations. In those regions, the limitations apply only to the maximum extent permitted by law. Mandatory consumer rights continue to apply.
20. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend and hold harmless Cookit and its developer from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your misuse of Cookit, your violation of these Terms, your violation of law, or Your Content.
21. Termination
You may stop using Cookit at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to Cookit features if you violate these Terms, misuse the app, create risk for other users or providers, or if continued operation would create legal, security, provider, or technical risk.
Termination of app access does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription. You must manage subscriptions through your Apple Account settings.
22. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms when Cookit changes, when service providers change, or when legal requirements change. The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continuing to use Cookit after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
